Review: Waiting For You by Claudia Connor

When ER nurse Nora Sellers is hurt in a hospital scuffle, firefighter Zach Walker blames himself. Blaming himself is nothing new. He’s been blaming himself for years for the trauma his baby sister endured as a teenager. Though with his happy–go–lucky attitude no one would know it. He’s good at his job, he’s a good brother, and a good friend, but Zach decided long ago he wasn’t husband and father material.

Even so, when Zach learns Nora is a single mother with a house that needs his help, he can’t walk away. After a few days with Nora and her ten month old son, he knows he doesn’t want to.

But Nora’s wary. She learned at a young age that the only person she can count on is herself. Now with a baby, a job, and a fixer–upper house, the last thing Nora wants is a sexy firefighter, making her heart flutter. But Zach is more than what he seems, and the more she gets to know him the harder he is to resist.

She’s been brave all her life. Can she be brave one more time and take a chance of a lifetime with her heart?

I am so happy that we've gotten another book in Connor's McKinney/Walker series. I totally love these books. It seems like I've been waiting forever for it but the great thing is that it turned out to be worth the wait. If you're a fan you'll get my joke. If you don't get it start reading! I just love how this book started out with one shift at the fire department pranking the other. I wish the author added more of this to her book. There is a good amount of interaction between Zach and his coworkers, I just thought them giving each other a hard time was cute. 

Poor Nora, she is such a hard worker to have this accident happen to her right as she started her new job could have been a big misstep in her life instead it brought her Zach and his crazy family. Something she really needed in her and her sons life. 

I just swooned with the was Zach acted towards Nora's son. He was so cute with him. I love a man who loves a kid. 

I'm glad their relationship isn't all smooth sailing. No ones is. They needed the rocking road parts to really prove to each other that they'd be there when they needed them. Even with a few backslides. 

I totally enjoyed this story and was happy to visit with past characters from both the series. It's great to visit and see how their lives are going. I will say to truly enjoy this book (this might only be for me) I'd read the series in order. All the books are wonderful so it won't be a hardship for you.
