New York Times best selling author Gena Showalter returns with a sizzling Original Heartbreakers tale, featuring a rough, tough bad boy brought to his knees by... a kindergarten teacher? The king of one-night stands... To inherit--and destroy--his father’s business at long last, Brock Hudson needs a temporary wife. The ruthless ex-military heartthrob has always avoided romantic entanglements. Women are sweet, but vengeance will be sweeter. Or so he thinks. Only one woman will do, but the vulnerable beauty is more than he bargained for—sexier, wittier, and utterly irresistible.

The queen of the deep freeze… After an abusive first marriage, Lyndie Scott has sworn off relationships. But still she longs for a child of her own. Turns out, the brawler who used to frighten her with only a glance is the answer to her problems. She agrees to his proposal, with a caveat: spend every night in bed with her, then walk away for good when it’s time to divorce. Even if she’s pregnant.

A marriage of breathtaking inconvenience... As the days pass too quickly and the nights heat up, Brock battles a sense of possession and obsession. Will the former commitment-phobe convince his wife they’re better off together, or will she pack her bags and go?

I have been loving the Original Heartbreaker series since the first book. Like most of the books Showalter writes this series is some meaty books. She doesn't skimp on the words. Something I always liked about her. Can't Get Enough is one of her shorter books but you'd never know it from the story itself.

Like the prior books in the series these are two people with issues that think they are in control of themselves and everyone around them. We all know that life is going to happen the way it happens no matter what you do.

I think that's what I really love about Showalter's books. She often writes stories where the hero and heroine are often flawed. Truly human flaws that we all have and don't often try to fix about ourselves. What I really enjoy about her characters is that they really do try and work on their issues. Some grow out of them and reflect about how badly they acted, some see themselves through the eyes of others and grow from that.

Can you tell how much I enjoy and think about her books.

I have to be honest with you, I wast sure how she was going to take Brock and have the real Brock stand up. Up till Can't Get Enough you don't really think highly of him. He's a mess and it would take someone with a strong backbone to take him on and shake him out of his self-destructive behavior.

I wasn't sure that Lyndie was up to it at first then....

I love Lyndie, you feel her need for a child. She at times pushes away those who would help her because of her need to do it all on her own. I get, even though at times it seemed to be to much.

These two brought me so much happiness, with a dash or two of humor. You just couldn't not like the story and want to know more. I didn't stop reading it until it was totally done. I will tell you that I'd read this series in order. Each book just works better that way.

If you've read Can't Get Enough or any other book by Gena Showalter I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading! ♡
