Jed West is Mr. Hockey. The captain of the NHL’s latest winning team, the Denver Hellions—and the hottest player on the ice—at least according to every magazine. .and Breezy Angel. Breezy has been drooling over Jed at games for years, and he plays a starring role in her most toe-curling fantasies. But dirty dreams don’t come true, right?

Then Jed saunters through the doors of her library, a last minute special guest for a summer reading event, and not only is he drop dead gorgeous up close, his personality is straight up swoon-worthy. He even comes to the rescue when she has an R-rated “Super Book Worm” costume malfunction. But when he mistakenly assumes she’s more into books than pucks, she’s too flustered to correct his mistake. And then comes a big kiss, followed by a teensy-tiny problem. Jed’s dating policy is simple: Never date a fan.

So what’s a fangirl going to have to do to convince her ultimate crush that he’s become less of a perfect fantasy, and more like the perfect man. . .for her?

I can remember watching hockey as a little girl with my grandfather. He was the type of man that didn't dole out compliments very much and you were never really sure if he really wanted you around. I often thought, if I was only a boy...

Of course I wasn't a boy, but that didn't stop me from loving hockey. As a three year old I'd watch the whole game with my grandfather, never moving from his side. Or so I've been told by family members. My grandfather always loved that I love hockey as much as he did. Other things grew out of our mutual love and I soon was very happy to be a girl...

The love of hockey and caused me to find some great authors. I love reading romances that revolve around hockey. Lia Riley isn't new to me, in fact I've been enjoying her books for a while now, so when I saw that she had a new hockey related series out I knew I would have to read it.

I am so glad I did. I loved both Jed and Breeze. Crazy name I know! It fits her so well. Her whole family is wonderful. You can't help wanting to know more about them. I can't really say that same thing about Jed's family. They seemed pretty cold and uncaring. Not to worry, he has a new one now.

The best part of the story was the humor in it. I found myself laughing more then once. I just couldn't stop reading it until I was totally done. Even the dramatic parts of it at the end are handled very well. I know you want to what they were but I really think that something better learned on your own.

After reading Mister Hockey I can't wait to see what's up next. Riley just has that way about her writing that drags you in and leaves you wanting more. Love it! Not only will you find this humorous it is also rather sexy. Wait for the sense under the bed. That in itself is worth reading this story.

This story at times will cause you to need the air conditioning on. Ha! So well written!

If you've read Mister Hockey, or any other book by Lia Riley I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading! ♡

After studying at the University of Montana-Missoula, Lia Riley scoured the world armed only with a backpack, overconfidence and a terrible sense of direction. She counts shooting vodka with a Ukranian mechanic in Antarctica, sipping yerba mate with gauchos in Chile and swilling fourex with stationhands in Outback Australia among her accomplishments.
