Review & Giveaway: Talking Dirty by Jennifer Seasons

TALKING DIRTY
Fortune Colorado #2
Jennifer Seasons
Released Jan 3rd, 2017
Avon Books

Jake Stone has always been an outsider, even in his hometown. As the misfit son of the town drunk and a descendant of Fortune’s mysterious founders, he’s spent his whole life not living up to expectations. So when Apple Woodman comes poking her pert little nose around his business, trying to sniff out juicy bits for a book she’s writing on the town’s history, he decides he’s had enough. He’ll give her the answers, at a price: one piece of clothing for every question. If the town’s good girl librarian wants the dirt on this bad boy then she’s going to have to bare all to get it.

Nothing is going to stop Apple from achieving her dream of being a published author, not even surly Jake Stone. She’s got a hefty advance to make good on and a looming deadline, and the last bit of crucial information she needs is being held hostage by the infuriating man. But Apple believes in equality between the sexes and she’s not going to be the only one playing along—he’s going to have to take it all off too. They’re only clothes; it’s not like they’re baring their hearts. Right?

If you're looking for a funny, heartwarming series then Fortune Colorado is the one for you. I'm so loving it. The second book in the series, Talking Dirty is even better then the first. I couldn't put it down.

Talking Dirty (love the title) is about Jake Stone, talk about a man with secrets. Even those that are the closest to him don't know them, and Apple Woodman. I love Apple, she is so funny and loves or at least likes, all those around her.

These two have been close to each other for what seems like forever but have never been more then just friends. They are both blind to what's in front of them. Or at least Jake is. As much as he wants to be with Apple he's keeping secrets (right or wrong) about why he can't be with her. When you read the story you'll understand more. I don't want to ruin anything for you.

The only negative I have about the story is that at times I felt that Apple handled things childishly. She reacted very badly when she should have understood that what happened before she came into Jake's life (their romantic relationship, not friendship) wasn't something he did personally to her.

Other then that, the story is wonderful and very funny at times. It's also touching too. Made me tear up more then once. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

If you've read Talking Dirty or any other book by Jennifer Seasons I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by and happy reading!
