Book Club Thursday: Remember When

Welcome to this years first Book Club Thursday! We are so happy that you'll be joining us and hope that you'll take a look at what's coming next for BCT!

Today's post is...

I thought long and hard about what I was going to talk about and ended up coming up with nothing. I know, that really doesn't work does it?  Finally I had to put aside thinking about it and move on. Then came the day that I needed to come up with something (the day I did this post).

Still I was lost with something to talk about and decided to go to my bookshelves and see if something on it that drew my attention.

And it did! It was the fact that I still have book shelves. I still buy books in print. Now don't get me wrong, I also buy ebooks, I'd just rather read print books. There is something about holding a book and feeling it. Also I'm really good at dropping them which doesn't work good with my eReader.

I know those who read only on a eReader will say how much they love it and I'm glad they do, I'm happy when people read...period! I just know that I've never really had trouble reading a print book when I've picked it up like I do with my eReader. Right now my eReader doesn't want the pages to align. Last week all the information on it was gone. Since I've said a few negative things about eReaders I will also admit that buying print books isn't easy all the time. Sometimes it's impossible to find the books you want to buy.

Nothing is 100% perfect.

So as you can see I finally did come up with a Remember When post and not a bad one if I say so myself. I really believe in patting yourself on the back. 😊 So here's my question to you, ebook , paper or both?

  1. In an odd way, our Remember When posts go together! Lol. I prefer print too and yes sometimes certain print books are hard to find but searching for them can be fun!

    1. I will have to go check out yours. Ha! It can be fun at times looking for that certain book that you want to add to your collection.

  2. I will always love print best. While ebooks let me try newer authors, I hate technology. My NOOK hasn't worked in ages and sometimes Kindle gives me grief. I don't have that problem with a print book. And I did have fun searching for my books!

    1. My Nook died and I had to get another one. Yeah, I've had issues with Kindle too. I like the fact that I don't always have to go out and get a book, but I'd rather have the paper back too!

  3. oh I will always love reading print books. But E books are more convenient and you can take anywhere. But I do love buying books though, and its why I have the hardest time at discounted book stores.

    1. Haha! Ebooks are great for those late nights when you can't sleep or read so what do you do? Buy books of course.

  4. I'm a print girl if I can help it. I never really fell for ebooks and then things like All Romance closing and losing books because of it just cemented that opinion for me.

    1. That is a big issue for me. Ebooks are basically rented, if the company is gone you could lose everything. If I buy something I want to own if free and clear.
