Book Club Thursday: Free Day!

Welcome back to Book Club Thursday!

Today is our last "Free Days" for the year. How fast the years gone by!

I love our free days! We can each do whatever we want to do. Back in October I shared with you a pumpkin that I cover with book pages. I really enjoyed making it and for Christmas I made a few more crafts using old books that I thought I'd share with you again. Lucky you, right? 😄

In the middle of November one of my BFF's Karen from The Many Faces of Romance and I made these cute trees and wreathes. We had so much fun.

And here's is Mine!

As you can see I made some friends for my main tree. My two nieces saw them and over Thanksgiving weekend we made some for them. We really had fun. These are very easy to make and a great craft to do with kids. They make the perfect gift for those in our lives that love to read.

Wreaths:

Here is mine!

This one isn't as easy to make. I used double sided tape when I rolled the pages to hold them it worked good for me. Now that I know what I'm doing I really think I could do this again and make it much more fancy looking. I've hung this on the door to my book room/office.

So...have you made any crafts this year to use as decorations for Christmas? I'd love to hear all about them. Thank you for visiting with me and happy reading!

  1. My tape sucked, lol. But I had fun! I am making more trees now. I just finished cutting up more pages.

  2. Oh those are really cute! I have a few books I was getting ready to throw away due to damage (not nice enough to donate). I might have to rethink that and do some crafting. Your trees are adorable!
