It’s Christmas Eve and Rory Andrews is desperate to get home to the family she hasn’t seen in years. Problem is, her only ride to Lake Tahoe comes in the form of the annoyingly handsome Max Stranton, and his big, goofy, lovable dog Carl.

Hours stuck in a truck with the dead sexy Max sounds like a fate worse than death (not), but Rory’s out of options. She’s had a crush on Max since high school and she knows he’s attracted to her, too. But they have history… and Max is the only one who knows why it went south.

They’ve done a good job of ignoring their chemistry so far, but a long road trip in a massive blizzard might be just what they need to face their past… and one steamy, snowy night is all it takes to bring Max and Rory together at last.

Like every series that Shalvis does, Heartbreaker Bay is so good. I just love the characters and the world she's created.

One Snowy Night is a holiday novella in the series. You kind of know that something is going on between Rory and Max but what that is we have no clue until this story.

I will admit it wasn't what I was thinking. I'd love to tell you more but I don't want to tell you to much. It's always better to learn about it yourself.

You already know that Rory has a few issues with her past. She's not had the best childhood and you can't help but feel for her. Even with her crappy past she's made something of herself.

Until One Snowy Night we or should I say I didn't know much about Max. Only that he was hot and a animal lover. Both a plus in my mind.

I loved enjoyed reading about their past, and learning more about them. Of course there are a few things that bugged me about the novella. Like it was way to short. I really think that Rory and Max needed a full story to deal with all the issues in their past. Not that the story wasn't good because it was, I just wanted more about them.

Like I said, I really love the story and all the ones that came before. I can't wait to see what's next. If you've read One Snowy Night or any other book by Jill Shalvis I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading!
