Choose the one guy you can’t have…

As captain of a San Francisco Bay tour boat, Pru can handle rough seas—the hard part is life on dry land. Pru loves her new apartment and her neighbors; problem is, she’s in danger of stumbling into love with Mr. Right for Anybody But Her.

Fall for him—hard…

Pub owner Finn O’Riley is six-foot-plus of hard-working hottie who always makes time for his friends. When Pru becomes one of them, she discovers how amazing it feels to be on the receiving end of that deep green gaze. But when a freak accident involving darts (don’t ask) leads to a shirtless first aid, things rush way past the friend zone. Fast.

And then tell him the truth.

Pru only wants Finn to be happy, it’s what she wishes for at the historic fountain that’s supposed to grant her heart’s desire. But wanting him for herself is a different story—because Pru’s been keeping a secret that could change everything…

If you remember I told you I couldn't wait for this book. I'm a huge fan of Shalvis and have read her books since she was writing for Harlequin.

She's one of those authors that no matter what she writes I have no trouble getting into them. I really like that in the authors I read. Sweet Little Lies in the first in the Heartbreaker Bay series but also her first book with Avon.

I think she's a good fit for them.

Sweet Little Lies is such a fun read. You really must read it. I spent most of this story laughing. I love all the characters and can't wait for their stories to be told.

I really enjoyed Finn, he is such a great guy. He has worked so hard to change his life and make something of it. The sad part is that he's now taken on way to much. He needs fun in his life!

That fun comes in the form of Pru! I really liked her and she's spends way to much of her time taken care of people that aren't her responsibility. You'll learn more when you read the story.

The end of the story gave me a minute where I wasn't happy, but I got over it quickly. It wasn't anything that really impacted the story. It was just something that upset me slightly. I'd love to tell you more but I want you to read it for yourself.

As a whole the story is so good. You'll want more and more of this group!

If you've read Sweet Little Lies or anything else by Jill Shalvis I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting and happy reading!

  2. oh yipee...I am pretty glad you enjoyed this one Ann!! Such a great one to read. The ending wasn't my favorite but there were so many good things I liked about it, it wasn't a huge deal. I am excited to see what Shalvis does with the series though. Should be fun.

    1. I wasn't a big fan of the ending either, or I should say part of it.
