Nobody But You
A Cedar Ridge Novel #3

When Jacob was injured in the war, it changed him for life. Now all he wants to do is come home to Cedar Ridge, settle in at his lakeside cabin and get some much-needed peace and quiet. But there's no peace to be had when he finds a spitfire of a woman camping out on his property. Half the time he's not sure whether he wants to spank her or kiss--or maybe both. He's in a dark place and a dark mood, and here's this wildly hot woman who is also funny and light and may be the balm be needs to soothe his aching soul.

Sophie Marren is pretty much penniless after leaving her abusive husband. She doesn't have the money to pay rent or the slip fees for docking the boat where she's been sleeping. She was getting along just perfectly until the good-looking, brooding, I'm-too-sexy-for-myself guy moves into the lake cabin that the slip belongs to. Sure he's hot as the noon sun with those dark lens and even darker 'tude, but god forbid she tie herself to another man who's always telling her what to do. But the more she gets to know Jacob, the more she sees how willing he is to battle for her wounded heart...a battle she might just let him win.

If you follow me regularly you know how much I love Jill Shalvis's books! Her stories never disappoint me. They are just so good! I often can't wait to read them and then I'm sad when I finish them. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing there is more to come.

Okay, enough of the drama queen stuff!

I wasn't kidding about how much I enjoy her books, I really do love them. I think what draws me to her writing is that she packs so much emotions in her stories. I cry, I laugh and sometimes I even yell at the characters.

Who am I kidding...I yell often at them. They just sometimes piss me off!!!!

I just loved the first two books in this series. Second Chance Summer and Some Kind of Wonderful are both great stories with tons of humor. In both you hear about Jacob, but never met him. At times in Some Kind of Wonderful I was really pissed off at him for hurting Hudson (I sort of love him) and wanted to smash his face. Yes I know he's not a really person, it's not like I'm crazy is all Shalvis' fault for making me fall for him.

Yep, that's my story!

I really thought that Nobody But You was going to be just as funny as the first two books in the series but to my surprise, it wasn't. I wasn't sure how I felt about that at first. But slowly I figured that it couldn't have the same humor as the other two. Jacob's story wasn't as light-hearted as his brothers. Yes, they has some heavy stuff too, just not like Jacob. Between losing his his friend he also had to deal with the childish way he acted with his brother.

You can tell how much I really enjoyed this story by the way I can't stop talking about it. Let's just say it's a great story that made me feel so much! You really need to read the books in order to really enjoy them. All Three are very easy to read so you'll fly right though them.

If you've read Nobody But You or any other books by Jill Shalvis I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for visiting with me and happy reading!
