Champion rodeo rider Dane Bowden is eight seconds from winning under the Vegas lights, one last hurrah before reluctantly returning to his family's Montana ranch. But his bull has other plans. When Dane wakes up, he's sure he's died and gone to heaven . . . because the doctor who comes to his aid is the same girl who saved his life and disappeared years ago.

Bell would do anything for Dane. He's the fantasy that always kept her going. A child genius hidden away by her family, Bell was the secret no one talked about, the girl no one wanted. Despite finding success as a young surgeon, she's still the awkward girl who's never had a boyfriend. So why does Dane, a notorious playboy and sizzling-hot cowboy, insist on taking her on a real date?

Bell is the only woman in Dane's heart. When a rodeo rivalry turns deadly, it's his turn to save Bell's life—because he sure as hell won't lose his guardian angel again.

Her obsession with both is often revealed in the state of her home and in how late dinner is to the table. When she finally leaves those fictional worlds, you’ll find her in the garden, playing in the dirt and daydreaming about people who live only in her head, until she puts them on paper.

My thoughts....

If you follow me then you know that I'm a HUGE fan of Jennifer Ryan's. Since the first book I read of hers I was hooked. There is just something about her writing that just fits for me.

She writes wonderful, touching stories that draw you in and keep you there. Just when you think her characters can't take anymore, she hits them again! Sometimes literally.

Her Lucky Cowboy is the last of the Bowden brothers. This has been a wonderful series (Montana Men). Each bother has dealt with their own crap and got through it. Up this time is Dane Bowden. Oh this man is a player, but a player with a good heart. he doesn't set up woman to fall down.

The funny part is that there is only one woman ( or I should say girl since she was when he met her) in his mind, and I'd say heart. When that woman comes back into his life he won't let her go no matter how much she tries to push him away.

Now for other people this would be stalker behavior, but with Dane and Bell its not. Let me explain first...

Bell's life growing up sucked, no...it more then sucks. This is where I tell you you'll have to read the book to understand what I'm saying. I love doing this to you guys.

Because her life sucked so much she's not great with going for what she wants. She's not clear on the whole dating thing. So Dane helps her realize that there is more then work, that people can love and care for each other.

So much happens in this book. I just can't tell you it all. You really need to jump in and read it for yourself. I think you really should read the brothers in order so you can get a better picture of who they are. It reads better that way. Heck, I would get all her books and read them. You'll love them all.

But don't worry she's not done with her Montana Men Series yet, she has a new group of brothers (the Kendrick's ) coming your way new year. I can't wait!!!!

I'd love to hear your thoughts about this book or any other books of Jennifer Ryan's. Happy reading!
