Book Club Thursday: Free Day!

Welcome back to Book Club Thursday!

This week we are doing a "Free Day!" For some reason knowing I can do what ever I want makes me happy but at the same time strikes fear in my heart.

I'm always thinking..."what should I do?"

To be honest a I'm a little lost. Not to worry, I'm thinking about it. Of course if I keep on thinking like this all you'll have is a post of me talking to you.

I can hear you all now, "that's fine Ann, we don't mind" at least you better be thinking that. Since we are closer to the end of summer, then the beginning, how about we talk about the good or bad books we read this summer.

I'm happy to say that I haven't read anything I really didn't like this summer. Which always helps when I have so many arc's to read. It's killer when you have a few bad ones that you have to review. Makes me read much slower. Does that happen to you guys too?

I did have two of my favorite series end this summer, Laura Kaye's Hard Ink. The nice part is that there will be a novella on January 19th called Hard Ever After where one of the couples are getting married and we get to pick them. Make sure to stop by vote. The voting ends on July 31st. here is the link Vote Here

The other series ending is by Shannyn Schroeder. Now if you follow me on a regular basis, (and if not, why aren't you?) then you know that I just reviewed Hold Me Close by Schroeder, here's the link for those of you who are naughty and don't follow me like they should. Click here In my review (after you read it you understand better) I asked the author to email me with what's going on next. Well she did and I have the dirt! Yes, the O'Leary's are ending but they are handing over the torch to the O'Malley's. You meet them in Catch Your Breath. I'm so happy about this. Of course we have to wait till next July but that's okay. Schroeder also told me that this series will be in paperback so congrats to her!

I also found a few new authors, I fell in love with Kate Baxter who wrote The Last True Vampire, review here and Lia Riley who wrote Last First Kiss, review here. I also enjoyed Jenna Scott who wrote All The Right Places, review here. I gave you the links in case you wanted to check them out...hint...hint!

I also read some favorite authors/series. I read Mate Bond by Jennifer Ashley, review here. I love her series. I also enjoyed The Chesapeake Summer by Mariah Stewart, review here

I guess I had more to say then I knew. I'm glad you came by for a visit and hope you'll visit again. I'd love to hear about what you've read this summer. The good, the bad, and the what the hell was I thinking when I bought this!

Make sure to stop by my fellow Book Club Thursday Blogger and see how they spent their "Free Day!"

Make sure to stop by on July 30th when we are reviewing "Any Historical"

  1. Looks like you have had some good reading done!! I really enjoy every book from Jennifer Ashley. I do need to read Mariah Stewart, have you read many of her books? Which one is the best to start with first?

    1. Jennifer Ashley is wonderful. I've been reading her forever. I've mostly read her contemporaries, not her romantic suspense. I love her The Chesapeake Diaries series. Start with Coming Home. They are very good. I think there is 8 in total. Not to bad.
