It's
Christmas in Twilight, Texas. The Cookie Club is baking, the town is
decorated, and Delta Force Operator "Hutch" Hutchinson has
finally, reluctantly, returned home . . .
.
. . only to get pepper sprayed by the delicious- looking stranger
who's taken over his house. She says her name is Jane, and she
immediately sets down ground rules. Top priority: no touching. For
Hutch that isn't easy—he was wounded in action, but one part is
still working very well.
Then
Hutch learns the truth. Jane harbors a frightening secret—she's
really Meredith Sommers, on the run from a dangerous ex-husband and
desperately in need of the safety Hutch can provide. In that moment,
he vows he'd do anything in his power to protect her. And as
Christmas approaches, they discover that their love can conquer the
past and overcome any obstacle—but what price will they pay?

If you follow me regularly then you know I'm a huge fan of Lori Wilde. To me reading one of her books is like visiting with a old friends. You know them so well, but you can still learn something new about them. Like with all her past books you will find Christmas in Twilight to be well-written with the great characters you've come to love from her. This is book 5 in the Twilight series, and is easily enjoyable on its own. But do yourself a favor and get the whole series for yourself as a early Christmas gift. I will admit this one was a tough one for me. So many things going on that you are afraid to blink in case you missed something. You'll love Hutch and all he's going through, including dealing with the mess his sister left behind. At times you might feel that Jane is over reacting to some of the things that is happening around her, but as the book goes on you learn more and more about her past and learn that she has good reason to feel fear. This is the perfect Christmas story! Happy reading!
