Belinda “Bee” Carter is a good girl; at least, that’s what she tells herself. And a good girl deserves a nice guy—just like the gorgeous and moody billionaire Nicolas Rainer. He is everything she wants in a man.
Or so she thinks, until she takes a look through her telescope and sees a naked, tattooed man on the balcony across the courtyard. Hawke is mysterious, the bad boy she knows will bring only heartbreak. He has been watching her, and that makes him all the more enticing.
But when a mysterious and anonymous text message dares her to do something bad, she must decide if she is really the good girl she has always claimed to be, or if she’s willing to risk everything for her secret fantasy of being watched.

Is her mystery man the reclusive billionaire with a wild side or the darkly dangerous bad boy?

A Different Type Of Billionaire
Cynthia Sax

I LOVE writing about billionaires. They are my favorite type of contemporary hero, the alphas of the modern world. Why do I love writing about billionaires?

Because they’re all financially successful but they’re also all different.

A cowboy hero, for example, (I love reading about cowboy heroes) is very specific. He likes animals, open spaces, is physical, normally strong and honorable, tends to wear denim, boots, a hat, smells of leather and hard working man.

A billionaire hero could be anyone. He could be a cowboy. There are very wealthy ranchers. He could be a biker. The founders of the big chopper companies have a couple of coins to rub together. There are mafia billionaires, movie star billionaires, fashion billionaires. You name the for profit industry and I’ll show you someone who is doing financially well in it.

The men who enter these industries have very different personalities. Blaine, my billionaire hero from He Watches Me, is the CEO of a high tech company. His team develops products that they know will be extinct in a year or less when technology changes.

Blaine feels he’s changing the world for the better but this former hacker also knows he’s disrupting people, making them a little bit uncomfortable, pushing them toward progress whether they like it or not. He loves this planned chaos.

In contrast, Nicolas, the billionaire hero of Sinful Rewards, wants people to be comfortable. This real estate mogul is constructing homes for individuals and families, building structures that will last for generations, creating memories and a legacy.

For example: When he bought the lots to build his Chicago condo complex, he also inherited a century old tree in the middle of the pricey real estate. This tree, home to squirrels and birds, existing for generations, symbolizes everything Nicolas is working to create. He couldn’t chop it down.

So he built around it and, every morning, Nicolas sits in the tiny park surrounding the tree and he takes calls, answers emails, reminded of his mission in life.

Would Blaine have built around the tree? As the high tech billionaire values chaos and change, I suspect he might not have. He’d view the tree as everything he’s fighting against.

The two men know and respect each other (Blaine makes a brief appearance in the Sinful Rewards serial). They’re both billionaires, able to financially take care of their loved ones, and successful in their industries but they’re very different characters.

What do you love about billionaire heroes?
